Artist's Description
he Battle of the Alamo (February 23 – March 6, 1836) was a pivotal event in the Texas Revolution. Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under President General Antonio López de Santa Anna reclaimed the Alamo Mission near San Antonio de Béxar (modern-day San Antonio, Texas, United States), killing the Texian and immigrant occupiers. Santa Anna's cruelty during the battle inspired many Texians, both legal Texas settlers and illegal immigrants from the United States, to join the Texian Army. Buoyed by a desire for revenge, the Texians defeated the Mexican Army at the Battle of San Jacinto, on April 21, 1836, ending the rebellion.
About Robert Hebert
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER TO CHASE ONE'S DREAM I spent 25 years working on tractor trailer trucks and am now pursuing my dream of Photography. I grew up in South Louisiana, lived in Nashville and when I met my wife, we both chased our dreams to the West Coast. We are now living in Los Angeles County. We are happy, healthy, goal-oriented and LOVE being alive. I love the drama of black and white photos, and have color copies of all of my black and whites, so if you see something you like but would like to see it in color--or vice versa--please ask. I aim to please!
